The employer did not provide the Occupational Safety and Health Administration certification of abatement as required for Citation #1, Items #1, #2 & #3 issued on August 1, 2019.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met:   (Construction Reference: 1926.59)  Employee(s) were exposed to chemical hazards.  Employees engaged in masonry activities were exposed to injury/illness from dermal, ingestion, and inhalation hazards from exposure to hazardous chemicals.  The employer had not developed or implemented a written hazard communication program to ensure that employees were aware of the hazards associated with the chemicals with which they work.  Hazardous chemicals used at the site included but were not limited to Portland Lime mortars.

A copy of the required safety data sheet for gasoline was not maintained at the commercial construction site. Employee uses Portland Lime Mortars

Hazardous chemicals such as Portland Lime Mortars used by the employees working at the construction site.
