29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: (a) MEB, West Footing: On or about June 25, 2019 and at times prior thereto, protruding horizontal reinforcing steel located one (1) to seven (7) feet above ground level was not guarded. This condition exposed employees to impalement hazards. (b) MEB, Tool CONX: On or about June 25, 2019 and at times prior thereto, protruding horizontal reinforcing steel located 16 inches above ground level was not guarded. This condition exposed employees to impalement hazards.
