29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) On or about June 17, 2019, second-floor area; employees were observed walking the top-plate while framing the new residential home without fall protection in place to protect them falling approximately 1O-feet to the wooden floor or 30-feet to ground level. b) On or about June 17, 2019, second-floor area; during the framing process employees were observed working near wall openings without fall protection to protect them falling approximately 30-feet to ground level. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification.
