29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use:  On or about July 3, 2019, at LaQuinta in the Housekeeping/Laundry Area an eyewash facility was not available for quick drenching. Employee(s) used chemicals such as but not limited to Peroxide Multi Surface, 73 Disinfect Acid Bathroom Cleaner and Scrub Free Bathroom Cleaner.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii): The required working space about electric equipment rated 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground, was used for storage.  On or about July 3, 2019 in the Electrical Room the area around electrical panels PA1, A1, A1B and A1C was  blocked by refrigerators and boxes that were stored in the area. Employee(s) went into the electric panels on a regular basis to flip breakers when customers would overload the circuit.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws.   On or about July 3, 2019 in the HVAC Room the extraction machine/wet vacuum did not have adequate strain relief. The Maintenance employee used the extraction machine to unclog drains and vacuum wet carpets on a regular basis.

On or about July 3, 2019 at La Quinta Inn, Metairie, LA safety data sheets (SDS) were not kept on chemicals which were known to be present in the workplace. Employee(s) used and transfer chemicals into secondary bottles intermittently throughout the day.
