29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about July 8, 2019: a. On the northeast corner of the Machine Shop Bay #4, where an employee was exposed to struck-by and caught-by hazards when operating an Doosan Puma 800L CNC Lathe, serial number ML0159-00126, without interlocking doors. b. On the west side of the Machine Shop Bay #1 where an employee was exposed to struck-by and caught-by hazards when operating a Mazak Power Master 640T CNC Lathe, serial number 159275, without interlocking doors.
