29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about July 3, 2019, in the rubber processing area on the south side of the shop, employees were allowed to operate a Verson No. 110 punch machine, serial no.19224, without a safety guard. The employee was feeding the rubber tread into the punch press.
