29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: The employer is failing to ensure that all employees exposed to fall hazards while framing a roof are utilizing fall protection. This most recently occurred on July 10, 2019 on the jobsite located at 12112 Pedersen Drive, Omaha, NE 68144. Four employees were observed sheeting the roof a one story residential building at heights greater than six feet above the ground while not utilizing any form of fall protection.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: The employer failed to train all employees that were potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards associated with the type of work being conducted. This was documented on or about July 10, 2019 at 12112 Pedersen Drive, Omaha, NE 68144. This should include training on mitigating those hazards through an acceptable method of fall protection. Employees were observed performing framing activities having not received fall protection training.
