29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) On or about 07/08/19, on a roofing job site, at a house at 170 Highland Ave., Buffalo, NY: A Ladder Jack Scaffold was erected on the right side of the house. An extension ladder was provided for employees to access the aluminum pik on the scaffold. The side rails of that extension ladder were only approx. 12 inches above the pik. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(i): Each employee on a boatswains' chair, catenary scaffold, float scaffold, needle beam scaffold, or ladder jack scaffold was not protected by a personal fall arrest system: a) On or about 07/08/19, on a roofing job site, at a house at 170 Highland Ave., Buffalo, NY: A Ladder Jack Scaffold was erected on the right side of the house. An employee was standing on the aluminum pik of that scaffold while doing roofing work. The employee was exposed to a fall of approx. 18 ft. because no fall protection system was being utilized. NO ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED Buffalo's Best Roofing Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard , which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1325712, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 9/25/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 29 Armin Place, Buffalo, NY 14210.

Pitch of the roof was approx. 14 in 12. NO ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED Buffalo's Best Roofing Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard , which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1325712, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 9/25/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 29 Armin Place, Buffalo, NY 14210.
