29 CFR 1910.28(b)(13)(ii): When work was performed at least 6 feet (1.6 m) but less than 15 feet (4.6 m) from the roof edge, the employer did not ensure each employee is protected from falling by using a guardrail system, safety net system, travel restraint system, or personal fall arrest system. Or, when performing work that was both infrequent and temporary, the employer did not use a designated area: Main Building: Employees were performing maintenance on roof top HVAC units approximately thirteen (13) feet from the roof edge without fall protection exposing them to falls of greater than thirty (30) feet to the ground below.
