29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:    a. Site - Employees performing wood framing work from unguarded second story balconies were not protected from falls of approximately 10 feet when fall protection equipment was not used or provided.       Postal Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1396071, citation number 001, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on 6/27/2019, with respect to a workplace located at 577 W. Main St. Hyannis, MA 02601.      Postal Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1106496, citation number 001, item number 004, and was affirmed as a final order on 2/3/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 162 Southampton St. Westfield, MA 01085.
