OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard: a) 220 Lower Hopewell Rd., Oxford, PA 19363, mushroom house no. 904 - The employer did not ensure that a removable walk board on the elevated walking/working surface, approximately 7 ft. 4 in. above the lower level, was secured in place, thus exposing employees to fall from height hazards. An employee suffered serious injuries after falling through the unsecured walking/working surface. This condition was noted on or about July 14, 2019. Abatement Note: An acceptable and feasible means of abatement would be to mechanically secure removable walk boards and verify their secure condition by inspection and checklist prior to permitting employees to walk on them.
