Detachable side protectors meeting the pertinent requirements of this section are acceptable.    a)  CPK Technologies Inc. DBA Tecomet - Finishing Department area:  The employer did not ensure that employees using, mixing and diluting caustic chemicals including but not limited to: Nitric Acid, Citric Acid, etc., were using side shields while wearing prescription glasses, observed on or about 07/22/2019.

DBA Tecomet - Finishing Department:  Company employees from the Finishing Department use the half mask negative pressure respirators equipped with Honeywell cartridges for organic vapors part # N75001L, NBR 13696 on a voluntary basis for parts washing and cleaning operations.  At the time of the inspection the company did not implement those elements of a written program necessary to ensure that any employee using a respirator voluntarily was medically able to use that respirator.  Condition noted on or about 07/22/2019.
