29 CFR 1926.502(b)(3): Guardrail systems were not capable of withstanding, without failure, a force of at least 200 pounds (890 N) applied within 2 inches (5.1 cm) of the top edge, in any outward or downward direction, at any point along the top edge: Location: Roof of 2155 Caton Ave, Brooklyn, NY. On or about: 7/25/2019. a) Guardrail system provided on the roof of the worksite was damaged and not capable of withstanding without failure a force of at least 200 pounds. Employees were exposed to a fall of approximately 50 feet while working on the edge of the roof.
