29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a working/walking surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) On or about July 31, 2019, an employee working on a flat roof next to an exposed edge and replacing a motor on a commercial HVAC unit was not protected from falling to the lower level. This exposed the employee to a fall hazard of approximately ninety (90) feet.
