29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets: a) On July 31, 2019, employees working in an excavation exposed to struck-by hazards were not wearing hard hats. I & D Plumbing, Inc. dba Excel Plumbing & Sewer Services, Inc.. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.100(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1262039, citation 1, item 1, and was affirmed final order on October 4, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 332 Milford Ct., Schaumburg, IL 60193. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
