29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about August 1, 2019, the employer had an employee exposed to fall hazards of 13 feet without fall protection, on a commercial construction site in Moline, Illinois. EAST MOLINE SHEET METAL CO. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1074705, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 2, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON SEPTEMBER 9, 2015, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 101 S MAJOR STREET, EUREKA, ILLINOIS 61530.
