Such programs would support the employer and employees in identifying and avoiding potential hazards, such as falls during window installation operations, decreasing the probability of employee injury and/or illness.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(14): Each employee working on, at, above, or near wall openings (including those with chutes attached), where the outside bottom edge of the wall opening was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels and the inside bottom edge of the wall opening is less than 39 inches (1.0 M) above the walking/working surface, is not protected from falling by the use of a guardrail system, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system. On or about August 06, 2019, at the address of 100 E Erie Avenue, Lorain, OH: employees were exposed to a fall of approximately 13 feet. The employees were performing window installation to a second story commercial building. The individual was working without the benefit of any type of fall protection.
