29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about August 06, 2019 at the address of 100 E Erie Avenue, Lorain, OH: Five employees conducting roofing activities at the time on a low slope roof were not protected by any means of fall protection. Employees were laying roofing material on the top level of a parking garage surface within five feet of the edge of the parking garage. 1st Choice Roofing Company was previously cited for a violation of an equivalent occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1146152 citation 1 item 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 05/25/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 13111 Franklin Blvd. Lakewood, OH. 44107.
