29 CFR 1926.850(a): An engineering survey was not performed by a competent person to determine the conditions of the framing, floors, and walls, and the possibility of unplanned collapse of any portion of the structure prior to permitting employees to start demolition operations. a) Jobsite: Employees were demolishing a 2-story residential house. The employer could not provide evidence in writing that an engineering survey was performed by a competent person prior to permitting employees to start demolition operations. On or about 08/06/19. Mr. Demolition Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.850(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1370601, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/05/19, with respect to a workplace located at 244 Howard Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11233.
