Worksite, 25 West Mill Drive, Great Neck, NY- Employees were working in an excavation approximately 10 feet in depth with the spoil pile placed at the edge of the excavation; on or about 8/7/19.    Note:  The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(c) of this section:   a) Worksite, 25 West Mill Drive, Great Neck, NY- One employee was working in an excavation approximately eight feet deep. There was no adequate protective system to protect the employee in the excavation; on or about 8/7/19.   Note:  The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
