29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems: a) West side of the structure's roof; On or about August 14, 2019 and at times prior thereto, employees were installing shingles without a means of fall protection at heights between 10-14 feet. Note: Abatement certification is NOT required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2)(iii): The employer did not assure that each employee has been trained, as necessary, by a competent person in the use and operation of guardrail systems, safety net systems, warning line systems, safety monitoring systems, controlled access zones, and other protection to be used: a) Jobsite: On August 14, 2019 and at times prior thereto employees performing roofing activities on a 8:12 pitch roof did not recognize or acknowledge the hazard of working without a fall protection system in place. The employees did not take action to minimize fall hazards at 10-14 feet. Note) Certification of correction is required for this item.
