Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees; a) 1336 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA, Worksite: On or about May 20, 2019, an employee was being lifted to reach elevated work through the use of a material bucket installed on a JLG G6-42A variable reach rough terrain forklift, which is not an approved attachment for the lifting of personnel and does not provide an anchorage point for personal fall arrest equipment. Abatement Note: Among other feasible means of abatement, the employer may the use of approved combinations of powered industrial trucks and their attachments in accordance with ANSI/ITSDF B56.6 - 2011, Section 5.15 Elevating Personnel.
