One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices,electronic safety devices, etc.   a) On or about August  19, 2019  the Thropp Rubber Mill did not have machine guarding such as but not limited to area barrier guards, etc., to protect the operator from hazards such as placing the material such as rubber and/or polymer into the point of operation exposing the employees to the ingoing nip points and the rotating rollers.   b) On or about August 19, 2019, the Hardinge Lathe did not have machine guarding such as an area barrier guard, etc., to protect the operator from hazards such as polishing parts against the 1200 rpm rotating point of operation of the rotating shaft exposing employees to being struck by and/or caught in the rotating part.
