29 CFR 1910.217(c)(5): Where the operator feeds or removes parts by placing one or both hands in the point of operation, and a two hand control, presence sensing device, Type B gate or movable barrier (on a part revolution clutch) is used for safeguarding. In the saw department, the temporary service employer did not ensure temporary employee's were protected from amputation hazards by guards or other methods where the host employer allowed a temporary employee to operate the punch press machine using the foot pedal where guards were not placed on the machine during the type of operation performed.
