29 CFR 1910.141(a)(3)(i): Places of employment were not kept clean to the extent that the nature of the work allowed. On or about August 19, 2019, Outdoor Recreational (ODR) Building #214 was not kept clean due to extent that the nature of the work allowed. This condition exposed employees to health and safety hazards in the following instances; a) The drop down ceiling had damaged tiles with numerous water spots indicating the main roof was leaking water onto the drop down ceiling and creating a moldy condition. b) In bathroom, the sink/cabinet smelled moldy. Although the mold had been removed there was evidence that the sink had leaked water for some time as a moldy smell was coming from inside the cabinet area. c) Behind the building, overgrown weeds and piled up equipment were not maintained, so far as reasonably practicable, as to prevent the harborage of rodents, insects, and other vermin.
