29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  The employer does not ensure the protection equipment is used when employees are exposed to struck by hazards while employee(s) are using pneumatic guns.  The lack of eye protection was most recently observed on August 22, 2019, at the jobsite located at 4291 Lacebark Lane (Lot 169), Naperville, IL 60564.  Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the steps it taking to ensure compliance, including an explanation of how these steps protect its employees from struck by hazards.   Don Bosco LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.102(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1190196, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 05/19/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 608 Thornwood Drive, Naperville, IL 60540.
