29 CFR 1910.178(n)(6): The driver was not required to look in the direction of, and keep a clear view of the path of travel. a) Facility - On or about 08/26/19 and at times prior thereto employees operated powered industrial trucks including (but not limited to) the Jungheinrich Ere 225 electric pallet jacks. Drivers were not required to keep a clear view of the path of travel. Or in the alternative: 29 CFR 1910.178(n)(4): Industrial truck driver(s) were not required to slow down and sound the horn at cross aisles and wherever vision was obstructed: a) Facility - On or about 08/26/19 and at times prior thereto employees operated powered industrial trucks including (but not limited to) the Jungheinrich Ere 225 electric pallet jacks. Drivers were not required to slow down and sound the horn whenever vision of the path of travel was obstructed. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
