29 CFR 1910.157(e)(2): Portable fire extinguishers were not visually inspected at least monthly: a) United States Postal Service Fredericksburg: On or about 08/28/2019, the employer did not visually inspect at least monthly an ABC type fire extinguisher in the post office work area. United States Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910. 157(e)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1102233, citation number 2 item number 1 and was affirmed on 08/10/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 9221 3rd Ave Norfolk, VA 23511. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
