29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt with lanyard attached to the boom or basket was not worn by employee(s) working from an aerial lift: (a) On or about August 31, 2019, the employer did not ensure that employees operating an aerial lift used a body belt or a body harness with a lanyard attached to the boom or basket. An employee of RDZ Construction, LLC. was exposed to falls of up to 25 feet installing siding on a residential building while on a Genie S-45 aerial lift. The employee did not wear a lanyard attached to the boom or basket of the aerial lift. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
