29 CFR 1910.138(b): The employer did not base selection of appropriate hand protection on an evaluation of the performance characteristics of the hand protection relative to the tasks to be performed, conditions present, duration of use, and the hazards and potential hazards identified: COATING ROOM AREA: On or about September 04, 2019, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to a chemical hazard while handling chemical products such as, but not limited to, Xylene, Toluene, and Humiseal 1A33 without making a determination on the effectiveness of the provided nitrile gloves.

29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): A written respiratory protection program that included the provisions in 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i) - (ix) with worksite specific procedures was not established and implemented for required respirator use. SPRAY COATING ROOM. On or about September 04, 2019, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to an undue physiological burden when required to use North 7700 half-facepiece respirators with cartridges without a written respiratory protection program that covers elements such as, but not limited to, respirator selection, medical evaluation of employees, fit testing of employees, and training.
