Gedert Roofing and Repair, LLC worksite located in Maumee, Ohio: On or about September 4, 2019, the employer did not initiate and maintain safety programs necessary to protect employees from fall hazards of up to 20 feet 4 inches when installing and staging roofing materials on a residential structure.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. Gedert Roofing and Repair, LLC worksite located in Maumee, Ohio: On or about September 4, 2019, the employer did not ensure employees installing roofing materials and staging shingles on a two story home were protected from fall hazards of up to 20 feet 4 inches. Gedert Roofing and Repair, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1240126, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 21, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 2025 Key St., Maumee, Ohio.
