29 CFR 1910.136(a): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses protective footwear when working in areas where there is a danger of foot injuries due to falling or rolling objects, or objects piercing the sole, or when the use of protective footwear will protect the affected employee from an electrical hazard, such as a static-discharge or electric-shock hazard, that remains after the employer takes other necessary protective measures: Location: 9 South Hackensack Ave Kearny, NJ07032- warehouse a) Employees exposed to crushing injuries while handling forklift propane tanks without designated personal protective equipment to include protective footwear. Propane tank weights can vary from 23 pounds empty to 56 pounds full. Violation observed on or about 09/11/2019 and 10/01/2019. b) Employees exposed to crushing injuries while handling merchandise material without designated personal protective equipment to include protective footwear. Merchandise material can vary in weight but is at a minimum of 100 pounds. Violation observed on or about 09/11/2019 and 10/01/2019.
