29 CFR 1926.651(k)(2): Where there was evidence of a situation that could result in a possible cave-in or other hazardous condition the competent person did not remove exposed employees until necessary precautions could be taken to ensure their safety: a) North Town Project - Scenic Trail, Livingston, MT 59044: On or about September 5, 2019 and at times prior, employees were exposed to cave-in hazards while setting and connecting a fire hydrant stand pipe to the main water line in a vertical wall trench. The competent person failed to remove the employees from the excavation when evidence of a hazardous condition was present.
