29 CFR 1910.28(b)(8)(i): For a repair pit, service pit, or assembly pit that was less than 10 feet (3 m) deep, the employer did not limit access to within 6 feet (1.8m) of the edge of the pit to authorized employees trained in accordance with 1910.30: On or about 9/9/19, the employer failed to ensure that access to the service pit in the service bay was limited to authorized employees that have received fall hazard awareness training in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.30. The depth of the service pit was about fifty-two inches (52").

29 CFR 1910.28(b)(8)(ii): For a repair pit, service pit, or assembly pit that was less than 10 feet (3 m) deep, the employer did not apply floor markings at least 6 feet (1.8 m) from the edge of the pit in colors that contrast with the surrounding area: On or about 9/9/19, the employer failed to ensure that the floor markings for the service pit in the service bay were at least six feet (6') from the edge. The floor marking was only about twenty-five inches (25") from the edge of the pit, and the depth of the service pit was about fifty-two inches (52").
