29 CFR 1910.132(a): Application. Protective equipment, including personal protective equipment for eyes, face, head, and extremities, protective clothing, respiratory devices, and protective shields and barriers, shall be provided, used, and maintained in a sanitary and reliable condition wherever it is necessary by reason of hazards of processes or environment, chemical hazards, radiological hazards, or mechanical irritants encountered in a manner capable of causing injury or impairment in the function of any part of the body through absorption, inhalation or physical contact:  a) On August 25, 2019, a Team Member did not wear appropriate protective gloves while cleaning up puddles of Liquid Floor Stripper off the floor with paper towel in the customer area.

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employers shall develop, implement, and maintain at each workplace, a written hazard communication program which at least describes how the criteria specified in paragraphs (f), (g), and (h) of this section for labels and other forms of warning, safety data sheets, and employee information and training will be met, and which also includes the following: *A list of the hazardous chemicals known to be present using a product identifier that is referenced on the appropriate safety data sheet (the list may be compiled for the workplace as a whole or for individual work areas); and, ** The methods the employer will use to inform employees of the hazards of non-routine tasks (for example, the cleaning of reactor vessels), and the hazards associated with chemicals contained in unlabeled pipes in their work areas:  a) On September 11, 2019, store management at the 2777 Oneida Street, Green Bay, WI location were unable to show OSHA a physical or electronic copy of the written hazard communication program.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer shall maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical, and shall ensure that they are readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they are in their work area(s). (Electronic access and other alternatives to maintaining paper copies of the safety data sheets are permitted as long as no barriers to immediate employee access in each workplace are created by such options.):  a) On September 11, 2019, the store management was unable to provide physical or electronic copies of safety data sheets to OSHA upon request for hazardous chemicals used at the facility.

Employee training shall include at least: The measures employees can take to protect themselves from these hazards, including specific procedures the employer has implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment to be used:  a) The employee hazard communication training did not include appropriate work practices for cleaning unknown or product spills in the facility.   b) On August 25, 2019, an employee was cleaning up puddles of floor stripper located in the customer area with paper towels and no protective gloves.
