29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a. Passaic Avenue and Belgrove Drive Kearny, NJ, 07032 a) Subcontractor employees performing sheathing in close proximity to an unprotected edge were not tied off and exposed to a fall of approximately 10 feet to the ground below. Violation occurred on or about 08/27/19. b) Subcontractor employees framing and installing trusses in close proximity to an unprotected edge were not adequately using a fall protection system and were exposed to a fall of up approximately 10 feet to the ground below. Violation occurred on or about 08/27/19. c) Subcontractor employees performed construction activities on a roof surface without adequate means of fall protection. Worker were exposed to fall hazards of 20 feet or more. Violation occurred on or about 08/27/19.
