29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Employees were not provided with eye and face protection equipment when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury:  a) Two Story Single Family Frame Home (Exterior Rear): Employees were engaged in roofing work were using handheld pneumatic nail guns without eye and face protection. The employer did not ensure that employees were provided with eye and face protection while using pneumatic nail guns, thus exposing employees to an eye injury, on or about 9/13/19.   F.C & Sons Construction Corp was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1274377, Citation Number 1, Item Number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on January 19, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at, 111 Virginia Avenue, Clifton, NJ.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   a) Two Story Single Family Frame Home (Exterior Rear): Employees engaged in roofing work were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 25 feet above the ground surface, without the use of a personal fall arrest system or other means of fall protection. The employer did not ensure that employees exposed to a fall hazard greater than 6 feet above the ground surface were protected by a personal fall arrest system or other means of fall protection, thus exposing employees to a fall hazard, on or about 9/13/19.   F.C & Sons Construction Corp was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1274377, Citation Number 1, Item Number 3, and was affirmed as a final order on January 19, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at, 111 Virginia Avenue, Clifton, NJ.
