29 CFR 1910.37(b)(6): Each exit sign was not illuminated to a surface value of at least five foot-candles (54 lux) by a reliable light source and be distinctive in color: a) Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages/Staten Island, NY- Warehouse: The employer did not ensure that exit sign located above the emergency exit door in the back of the warehouse was illuminated. Vending machines were stored next to the emergency exit door making it difficult to see where the exit is; hence, exposing employees to delay when exiting the building in case of an emergency such as fire. Condition noted on or about September 20, 2019.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): There existed damaged parts that could have adversely affected the safe operation or mechanical strength of electrical equipment, such as parts that are broken, bent, cut, or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action, or overheating: a) Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages/Staten Island, NY-Warehouse: The employer did not ensure that electrical equipment was maintained in good working condition. Electrical conduit containing live parts was damaged and had exposed wires; thus, exposing employees to electrical shock. Condition noted on or about September 20, 2019.
