29 CFR 1926.651(j)(1): Adequate protection was not provided to protect employees from loose rock or soil that could pose a hazard by falling or rolling from an excavation face: (a) Southeast corner of site, Chairville Road, Southampton, NJ; on or about September 25, 2019 RTW Construction Inc. employees working in an excavation were exposed to potential hazards from loose rock or soil falling or rolling from the excavation face. The employer did not ensure that sheets of steel plate shoring extended at least 18 inches above the top of the vertical side and sloped portion of the excavation wall.
