Firestone Complete Auto Care: Building 13206 Battery Room and South End of Building: Employees were working with corrosive materials such as Ball Chemical & Equipment Company Concentrated Powdered Floor Cleaner & Degreaser and Sulfuric Acid from used auto batteries without an operable emergency eye wash station in close proximity for immediate use for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes. Employees were exposed to severe eye burns or blindness.

Building 13206: Bay adjacent to RV bay south end: Employee was climbing on/off and walking on a raised Hunter Engineering Auto Lift that was 58 inches above the next lower level to work inside an automobile.  The walking-working surface had an unprotected side or edge. Employee was exposed to fall hazard.

Building 13206: all bay work areas: Employees were eating food, drinking from open containers in the middle of the bay work areas and stored food and drinks onto work-carts directly adjacent with hazardous chemicals such as corrosives, lead, lubricants, and cleaners.  Employer does not provide or require gloves for daily tasks using hazardous chemicals.  Employees were exposed to ingestion hazards.

Employees were exposed to dermal burns and ingestion chemical hazards.
