29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): On or about October 7, 2019 the employer failed to ensure that employees setting floor joists above the third floor were protected from falling to the level below. Employees were not utilizing personal fall arrest systems or other conventional fall protection measures. Additionally, the company had a written site specific plan for the worksite. The employees were not adhering to the fall protection measures of the plan which stated that overhead floor joists would be set using step ladders. DD Works Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1290989, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on May 8, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 23 Allegheny Ave, Oakmont, PA.
