29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, shall be protected by protective helmets. On or about October 9, 2019, employees conducting siding installation at a residential single-family property were exposed to struck-by hazards while working on two levels when the employer failed to ensure that hard hats were utilized. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level shall be protected from falling to that lower level. Paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (vii) of this section establish the types of fall protection to be provided to the employees on each type of scaffold. Paragraph (g)(2) of this section addresses fall protection for scaffold erectors and dismantlers. On or about October 9, 2019, employees performing siding installation from a pump-jack scaffold at a residential single family property were exposed to a fall of approximately 16.6 feet when the employer failed to ensure that fall protection was utilized. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
