An orderly shutdown must be utilized to avoid any additional or increased hazard(s) to employees as a result of the equipment stoppage:  a) 14300 Townsend Road, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - The employer did not ensure that the employees shut down/turned off the Watkins Aircraft Support Products Conveyor prior to adjusting the conveyor belt thus exposing the employees to amputation hazards, an employee for the company suffered an amputation of his thumb when adjusting the conveyor belt while the conveyor remained in operation. Condition noted on or about 11 OCT 2019.
