29 CFR 1926.601(b)(4): The employer had in use motor vehicle equipment having an obstructed view to the rear which did not have a reverse signal alarm audible above the surrounding noise level or an observer signaling it was safe to back up the vehicle. a. One or about October 9, 2019, at the above addressed jobsite, at the above addressed jobsite, the Caterpillar 953C Track Loader used to move spoil piles had an obstructed view and was not equipped with a reverse signal audible alarm or an observer signaling the vehicle, thereby exposing employees to hazards associated with being struck-by equipment.
