29 CFR 1926.1412(f)(5): When the qualified person determined that a deficiency is a safety hazard, the equipment was not taken out of service until it has been corrected, except when temporary alternative measures are implemented as specified in 1926.1416(d) or 1926.1435(e). See 1926.1417. a) Boomer Crane Service, LLC at 26221 County Road 53 in Kersey, CO 80644: On or before October 7, 2019, the employer did not ensure that deficiencies were corrected prior to putting the National 1400 Boom Truck Crane back into service. The annual inspection conducted by Honnen Equipment stated that decals on the crane were fading, a new fire extinguisher was needed, the horn button on the steering wheel did not work, and that electrocution decals and decals were needed on the operator's dashboard. These conditions exposed employees to the hazard of being struck by moving loads, and to electrical hazards associated with these crane deficiencies.
