29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment: On or about October 17, 2019, electrical service panels were not readily accessible as follows: a. At the laboratory room (#126), countertop and laboratory equipment and supplies placed in front of electrical service panel. b. At the staff restroom (#125) and rear emergency door area, two Mac 5500 HD electrocardiograph equipment carts placed in front of electrical service panel. c. At the reception area, visitor chairs placed in placed in front of two electrical service panels. d. At the lounge area (#147), a garbage receptacle and 5-gallon water bottles were placed in front of electrical service panel. e. At the conference room (#139), a chair was placed in front of electrical service panel. f. At the VA Police office area, a uniform jacket was hanged in front the electrical service panel. NOTE 1: Certification of abatement must be submitted for Instance a of this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c). NOTE 2: Certification of abatement is not required for Instances b, c, d, e and f of this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection.
