At the jobsite, employees operating Hitachi nail guns while performing decking activities were not wearing eye protection, exposing employees to the hazard of being struck by flying objects.

29 CFR 1926.404(f)(6): Grounding path. The path to ground from circuits, equipment, and enclosures shall be permanent and continuous.   At the jobsite, the ground prongs were missing off the red and yellow extension cords supplying power to the Dewalt circular saws, exposing employees to the hazard of electical shock.

29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees were not protected by protective helmets while working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns.   At the jobsite, employees were not wearing hardhats while working below other employees that were installing decking material to a residential house, exposing employees to struck-by hazards from falling objects.    Fredy Calderon was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.100(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1341673, Citation Number 1, Item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on September 24, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at  317 Jernigan Drive, Euless, Texas 76180.

At the jobsite, employees performing decking activities on the roof were not provided fall protection and exposed to an unprotected fall hazard at a height of over 6 feet to the ground below.
