29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(iii): Special handtools for placing and removing material were not such as to permit easy handling of material without the operator placing a hand in the danger zone. Such tools shall not be in lieu of other guarding required by this section, but can only be used to supplement protection provided: a) Meat Department - On or about October 20, 2019, the employer did not enforce the use of special handtools, such as a "push plate" for employees to use when cutting fish on the Hobart Model 6614 band saw, serial number 311545888. Employees were thereby exposed to laceration and amputation hazards.
