29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift: Note:  As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system.  The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated:  a)  At 23063 Perdido Beach Boulevard, Model Home, Orange Beach, Alabama:  On or about October 23, 2019 and at times prior; the employer allowed his employees to perform framing activities from an aerial lift without fall protection exposing his employees to a fall hazard of up to 29 feet to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   a)  At 23063 Perdido Beach Boulevard, Model Home, Orange Beach, Alabama:  On or about October 23, 2019 and at times prior; the employer allowed his employees to perform framing activities without fall protection exposing his employees to a fall hazard of up to 30 feet to the ground below.   THE GULF COAST CARPENTRY, INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(B)(13) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER  11395173, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 3 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JUNE 11, 2019,  WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 29201 NORTH BAYSHORE DR., ORANGE BEACH, ALABAMA.
