29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. a) 214 Centergrove Road, Randolph, NJ. Ironworker was exposed to falls of approximately 20 feet from the deck of the pre-engineered building to the ground below as fall protection was not being used. Violation observed on or about 10/24/2019.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) 214 Centergrove Road, Randolph, NJ. Ironworkers were exposed to 11 foot falls to the ground below as the extension ladder's side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the roof deck being accessed. Violation observed on or about 10/24/2019.
